Effectiveness of an underbody forced warm-air blanket in preventing postoperative hypothermia after coronary artery bypass graft surgery with normothermic cardiopulmonary bypass

چکیده
triphenyl tetrazolium chloride staining showed no infarction. *P <0.05 uncontrolled vs. controlled, mean ± SEM. Conclusions Our novel ischemic brain model provides an effective tool to study brain ischemia. More importantly, these data indicate that controlled reperfusion attenuates reperfusion injury in the brain as it has been applied in other organs, and introduces the potential of using controlled reperfusion as a new treatment for sudden death and stoke. Comparison of Warm Touch Forced Air Warming System vs Routine Care in Increasing Tympanic Temperature and FOUR Score
Background: Delayed awakening is one of the biggest challenges after general anesthesia and surgery. Hypothermia is common after coronary artery bypass surgery, and even mild hypothermia can cause severe complications after surgery. It is important to know the effective methods in accelerating awakening and correcting hypothermia. Materials and Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, Warm T...
متن کاملThe effect of skin surface warming during anesthesia preparation on preventing redistribution hypothermia in the early operative period of off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery.
OBJECTIVE Redistribution hypothermia adversely affects hemodynamics and postoperative recovery in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. In off-pump coronary bypass surgery (OPCAB), maintaining the temperature is important because warming by cardiopulmonary bypass is omitted. Pre-warming studies reported earlier showing pre-warming as an effective means of preventing redistribution hypothermia wa...
متن کاملAn evaluation of a full-access underbody forced-air warming system during near-normothermic, on-pump cardiac surgery.
BACKGROUND A new underbody forced-air warming system is available for use during cardiac surgery. We tested the hypothesis combining underbody forced-air warming with standard thermal management would maintain intraoperative core temperature and reduce core temperature after-drop (largest decrease in core temperature in the 60 min after bypass) in patients undergoing near-normothermic cardiopul...
متن کاملEmergency Conversion from Off Pump to Cardiopulmonary Bypass in Patients with Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery
Introduction: As off pump Coronary artery bypass grafting surgery (CABG) is a developing method in coronary cardiac surgery, most surgeons are anxious about the danger of emergency crash conversion. In this observational study we tried to show the rate and outcome of conversion . Material and methods: In this descriptive study about 477 coronary off-pump CABG patients were operated in Ghaem hos...
متن کاملThe Cardioprotective Effects of N acetylcysteine as an Additive to the Blood Cardioplegia During Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
Introduction: During coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), the role of cardioplegic solution which results in cardiac arrest, is critical. This study was planned to evaluate the clinical impacts of N acetylcysteine (NAC) enriched cold-blood cardioplegia on early reperfusion injury in patients with ischaemic heart disease undergoing CABG Methods: In a...
